Very Reverend James A. Misko

Bishop Joe Vásquez appointed Father James Misko as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia of the Diocese of Austin on January 21, 2019. Father Misko also continued to serve as pastor of St. Louis Parish in Austin until June 30, 2019. 

Father Misko was ordained a priest by Bishop Gregory Aymond on June 10, 2007. He has served as pastor of Christ the King Parish in Belton and as associate pastor of St. Elizabeth Parish in Pflugerville. Father Misko is a member of the College of Consultors, and he has served on the Presbyteral Council since 2011. 

Father Misko serves as the Chaplain of the Austin Chapter of Legatus, a membership organization of Catholic business leaders, and Priest Advisor of the Central Texas Fellowship of Catholic Men, an organization whose mission is to encourage and embolden men to deepen their relationship with Christ, family, Church, and community by living their Catholic faith in everyday life. Father Misko is active with the Knights of Columbus, a Catholic-based fraternal organization engaged in charity, and the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre, a Roman Catholic order of knighthood under the protection of the Holy See.
