Four pregnancies ending in four miscarriages. After finding out she was pregnant a fifth time, her doctor’s ordered bed rest at 12 weeks which meant quitting her job and giving up everything she felt she had worked for. She had overcome domestic violence, her drug-addicted mother’s suicide, and no family support. With the fear of bringing a child into such uncertainty, she turned to OLAMS who was able to provide housing, pregnancy and parenting classes, counseling, and case management. Cecilia’s daughter is now over a year old and the two are thriving. With the help of OLAMS, Cecilia is once again living independently and thriving with her daughter.
